I have been a creative soul since I was young, and even though I feel I’m a painter at heart, I didn’t stop with only that. I’ve never liked having idle hands and I believe that is part of why I am constantly trying new things, which includes art media. As a child and still today, being introverted, I liked to keep to

myself often and much of my time is spent outside. ​       

I believe all the time spent in these Tennessee hills is evidently seen in my work. I find reasons to

create from all around, in little moments of life, and things that some might see as mundane. I also take much inspiration from my own life experiences and childhood, which includes my family to a great extent. ​       I have found that I will always be a learner and a maker, it is what comes

naturally to me, and I find it a fulfilling goal. I find a completeness when I create, but in the end, it’s not just because of the work, it’s more about what I find in the process. The work may never even get finished; it’s the learning and the story being told on the individual journey that is most valuable in the end.
